🕑 20 minutes (active time) 🍴 Serves 4
Steak à la Puttanesca
Ingredients
-
4 thin sirloin steaks, about 150 g each
-
1 jar Think Tomato of your choice (I prefer the Thyme version)
-
4 anchovy fillets in oil, drained
-
1 tbsp capers
-
1 tbsp dried oregano
-
Olive oil, salt & pepper
-
A handful of finely chopped fresh parsley
-
Optional: sun-dried tomatoes
Instructions
-
Sear the steaks in olive oil for about 2 minutes per side.
-
Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside.
-
Add a little extra olive oil to the pan.
-
Add the anchovies, capers, and half of the parsley; sauté for a few minutes, stirring well.
-
Stir in the Think Tomato sauce and oregano and cook over high heat for 1 minute.
-
Lower the heat and return the steaks to the sauce.
-
Let the steaks simmer gently in the sauce for 10 minutes.
-
Finish with the remaining parsley and, if using, the sun-dried tomatoes.
Serve with a side of your choice (salad, potatoes, bread, or pasta).
Enjoy!
